About Kerala

The Myth is that Kerala Surfaced out of the Sea. It was Lord Parasurama who, by a throw of his Axe, created Kerala.  Now you know why Kerala is known internationally as God's Own Land. Kerala originally stretched from Gokarnam to Kanyakumari is now known as Cape Comorin.  Cape Comorin is the southern most tip of India where land and three seas( Arabian Sea,India Ocean and Bay of Bengal) converge to create the most magnificent sunrise and the most stunning sunset anywhere in the World. The brief is that at Cape Comorin Goddess Parvathi waits even this day for her beloved Lord Shiva.

Kerala is derived from Kerala the coconut tree.  Kerala is indeed the land of the Coconut tree.  Kerala, as we know it today, evolved as a political entity when the various states in India were reorganized on a linguistic basis.
